Children

In the words of George Barna, ‘Our children will define the future, which makes them our most significant and enduring legacy.’ For all of us here at LEC, children will always continue to play a vital part in all that we do. We may never fully realise this side of heaven the impact we can have on a child’s life by faithfully teaching them each week.

The main thrust of our children’s ministry takes place on a Friday evening between 6:30 and 7:30pm with our Kidz Klub ‘Let’s Go Bananas’, and on a Sunday morning between 11:00 to 12:30 with Kids Praise (11-11:30) followed by Kids Church. If you would like to find out more about the children’s work in the church, please give Paul a call.

Kids Church

We lead an active programme for the children during our Sunday worship services, kicking off with Kids Praise, which is a chance for the young children to worship God in their own way and with lots and lots of energy. For those who are of a Pre-School age, we have ‘Milkshake’ which is our lively creche. Then there is ‘Fruit Shoots’ for school years Reception to Year 2, then ‘Smoothies’ for years 3 to 5, ‘Hot Chocolate’ for years 6 and 7, ‘Energise’ for years 8 and 9, and for those who are 14 yrs and over, there is X-Plore which is an interactive Bible Class.

Let’s Go Bananas

Aged between 4-10 years old (Reception onwards) and are looking for something to do on a Friday night? If the answer’s ‘Yes’, then why not swing down to our high energy, fun-packed Kidz Klub and join with loads of other kids who love to ‘Go Bananas’. The fun begins at 6:30pm and lasts for one hour and costs just 50p per person. For more information, give Paul a call.

Right now, we are following a Wild West theme for our Kidz Klub and the children are free to dress up as Cowboys, Cowgirls and Indians if they want to. With Sheriff McJim running things in the town, this is 60 minutes of crazy fun and great life application teaching straight from the Bible.
