Squash

We have two squash courts which are available for use throughout the week (Monday to Saturday). We are pleased to be the home of West Lancs Squash Club which has an active membership and which has produced some top quality players throughout its history. If you’re interested in taking up this sport, or want to improve your game, why not contact us to arrange some lessons with Professional Coach Jim Foggitt.

Although the courts are open to all who wish to play, we would encourage you to become a member of West Lancs Squash Club. Membership is £150 per year with £2 for the heaters when required. For non-members, the court fee is £4, with £2 for the heaters.

We have a thriving junior section who play and train on Saturday mornings from 9am until 12:40pm. There are opportunities to be part of a touring squash squad visiting Ireland, Holland and South Africa. The seniors have two teams entered into the North West Counties League. There are also internal leagues, seasonal competitions and club nights that take place throughout the year.

The club has three qualified licensed coaches to call on and is Silver Charted by England Squash. For new members who want to learn Squash or Racketball, we offer one free lesson from our lead coach who is qualified at level 3.

On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, we run a Return to Squash and Introduction to Racketball. Sessions run from 1:30-2:30pm and are held under the guidance of England Squash and Racketball Level 3 coach, Jim Foggitt. The cost per session is just £2 per person. These sessions are particularly aimed at parents with children at school but are open to anyone aged 16 or over.
